Kilkenny Arts Festival is set celebrate 40 years in 2013. Kilkenny's largest festival and Ireland's oldest multi-disciplinary arts festival brings over 25,000 visitors from Ireland and abroad into Kilkenny City every year for a feast of the very best in Irish and international acts.
2013 will mark a milestone for the not-for-profit festival that boasts a heaving programme of theatre, visual art, dance, craft, children's entertainment, street theatre, classical music, world music, indie music and literature. The festival makes use of the historical buildings in the Medieval City to stage many of the events.
The 40th festival promises to be the best yet with eagerly anticipated names lined up for the landmark celebration.
