Kenmare Irish Music Festival is a weekend of live traditional Irish music with sessions, concert performances, workshops and family orientated activities.

Following the huge success playing host to two Munster Fleadhs, the town of Kenmare has decided to start its own annual Irish Music Festival - Feile an Neidín. The inaugural festival will take place in April 2013. The launch festival coincides with the year of The Gathering and running with the theme of 'Return to the Nest', hopes to draw people from all over the country, and indeed the world, back to 'an Neidín' (the little nest!).

The weekend will see many well-known players acting as core musicians at sessions in the numerous venues during the whole of the weekend , also workshops for all instruments, story-telling for kids, Kenmare Bay boat trip sessions, 2 big name headline acts in the Arts Centre and a big céilí with the famous Kilfenora Ceili Band.
