Dublin City Council is  presenting an exhibition of Dracula oil paintings by Jonathan Barry as part of their One City One Book Project celebrating the famous novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker. The exhibition includes a rare collection of original oil paintings by the artist, which are on loan from Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council, and various museums nationwide. Jonathan Barry has illustrated several versions of Dracula, and the exhibition includes other Gothic novels he has illustrated for the UK publisher Wordsworth Classics. These include the titles Carmilla,The House by the Churchyard , Frankenstein, The Fall of the House of Usher, Wuthering Heights, Great Expectations, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. Jonathan Barry is the only living Irish illustrator to have sold his paintings at Sothebys in London. This exhibition runs from 1st to 30th April.
