It was a natural progression for John Jones to start manning the decks at the age of 15 after collecting specialist dance/house music for a previous 3 years. He is influenced by the likes of Masters at Work, MK, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Mood II Swing. Jones linked up with Hed Kandi in 2001 and in the last six years has been touring as a resident worldwide to cities such as New York, Sydney, Miami, Reykjavik, Moscow, Ibiza, Dublin and Barcelona, alongside Hed Kandi residencies in the UK and presenting the Stereo Sushi Radio Show on MOS Radio and assisting on the compilation of the Stereo Sushi CD's. Attending a HED KANDI party is like orbiting the planet in a space capsule where laughing gas is pumped in instead of oxygen! The pumping music induces so many 'hands in the air' moments you would think everyone's shoulder joints had seized up!
