The 7th annual Jameson International Film Festival will be held in Dublin from the 12th to the 22nd of February. Ireland's most prominent celebration of the silver screen, the Festival has a history of attracting a mix of Hollywood's top talent, as well as some of the biggest names from closer to home. Clive Owen, star of Closer, Sin City and Inside Man will participate in an onstage interview with Mark Dinning, editor of Empire Magazine, at The Academy on Tuesday 17th February. Films scheduled to be shown during the course of the festival include Doubt, starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams along with many other films, both home-grown and international. The festival has come to be known as an important date on the Irish film calendar, bringing together actors, directors, writers and more from Ireland and around the world. The festival continues to be committed to supporting film and in 2008 initiated a significant International Screen Writing Award, Write Here, Write Now. The winner of the award will be announced at the 2009 festival.
