What do a tramp, a kid and a dictator have in common? They are of course characters made iconic by the one and only Charlie Chaplin. This August 21 - 24th the inimitable legend of the silver screen will be honoured at the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival in Waterville, Co Kerry.

Taking place for the fourth year in the beautiful village on the Ring of Kerry, there will be screenings, workshops, Chaplin inspired street performance and fun for all the family!

Pat Short will be hitting the stage with Abie Philbin Bowman and other special guests to grace Waterville (amongst countless wonderful acts) include Frankie Gavin and De Dannan, Funny Bones with Dan Kamin, Keith McDonald and his Band (with Daithí O'Shea) and a Tramps Ball with the Lee Valley String Band.

A highlight for this year on Sunday, August 24th will be the Guinness World Record attempt to gather the most people dressed as Charlie Chaplin!
