The International Brewing and Distilling Convention, brought to you by Alltech, will take place in Dublin, Ireland, July 18th - 20th. This unique event, the first of its kind, will gather together trade exhibitors, food pairing experts, world renowned beer judges and international trade professionals under one roof for two days of learning, networking and entertainment.

Over two days the Convention will feature a full programme of educational talks and demonstration covering the different facets of craft brewing and distilling. The programme will be broken up into two different strands: an intensive session of technical topics and a series of basic courses providing an introduction for newer brewers and distillers. Sessions range from double distillation to hops choice, from system sanitation to marketing your product to the consumer.

Also featured this year is the Dublin Craft Beer Cup, where brew will be pitted against brew in seven different categories, with local breweries competing head to head with craft beers from across the globe. Entries will be sorted into their respective categories and a winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, selected from the ranks of the brewing industry.

The Convention will feature a full social programme, kicking off on Thursday 18th July with WoodSongs, a concert celebrating the connection between Irish traditional music and its American cousin, bluegrass. Acts confirmed for this are Mary Black, Paul Brady and We Banjo 3, with more acts to be announced soon. On Friday, attendees will be invited to break out their cowboy boots and Stetsons, for Kentucky Happy Hour, a networking opportunity for all attendees featuring live entertainment with Irish and Bluegrass music.

Attendees will also gain entry to an Entrepreneur Seminar taking place on Friday 19th July in The Convention Centre Dublin. This seminar will provide an insight into the rules of successful entrepreneurship - how to grow a businesses, reach new audiences and develop new technologies and talents - and is a must for all budding entrepreneurs.
