It is the perfect arena for nature lovers who want to explore the microcosm that is Inishbofin; the island provides a wealth of varied habitats, from a vast array of flora and to the mighty whales and dolphins of the sea. Featured walks lead to panoramic views of neighbouring islands as well as the mainland, and to Inishbofin's historic and varied Iron and Bronze Age landscapes with mill stones, partitions and evidence of round stone houses, Iron Age fort ruins, picturesque beaches and famine roads, and St. Colman's 14th century Chapel and lough. All this is alongside award winning beaches, green roads, bog roads and laneways.
