Indiependence Music & Arts Festival takes place annually in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. The festival mixes top international & Irish acts with a friendly atmosphere. Previous acts have included Editors, 2manydjs, Feeder, Ash, The Coronas, Ocean Colour Scene, Super Furry Animals, Therapy? and many more. As well as hosting a number of international acts, the festival also prides itself on giving the finest up and coming Irish talent an opportunity to prove they can mix it with the big boys.
The organisers began the festival in 2007 as a one-stage, free festival in the centre of Mitchelstown and have since expanded it to what is now a national event with 100+ acts performing annually. Tickets are priced at €99 for a full weekend camping and, as festival-goers themselves, organisers have continually adhered to growing the festival year on year while maintaining both the intimate vive and the price. 2013 is set to be their biggest year to date.
