Following its sell out performance in Dublin last year, Deirdre Kinahan's intriguing and hilarious lunchtime play 'Hue & Cry'  returns to Bewley's Café Theatre, before touring to theatre festivals in Romania and Bulgaria.  'Hue & Cry' is a moving and funny play exploring grief and its inevitable fallout. Two Dublin cousins, one straight one gay, Damian and Kevin are reunited on the eve of a family funeral in a highly charged encounter full of denial, disillusion and dark laughter. Tall Tales are recognised as one of Ireland's most talented and dynamic small theatre companies producing an impressive range of new international and Irish plays. In 2007, Tall Tales collaborated with Bewley's Café Theatre, Dublin's premier café venue, on the production of a festival of new plays written by Irish women. The festival called Txts was a sell-out success, which featured 'Hue & Cry'. This play from Txts in particular was invited to tour internationally to Glasgow (where it has already been staged) and most recently to Bulgaria, Romania and France. 'Hue & Cry' runs at Bewley's Café Theatre for two weeks only, from October 20th to 31st, so book now to avoid disappointment.
