HOOPLA on the Hill is a family picnic day to be held in an old inner city community area of Waterford. Events include outdoor music by Waterford based musicians; heritage walks with Fado Heritage Group; a demo area with a Mrs. Doyle tea-making competition & cooking demos; a colourful kids' area with lots of activities & competitions; a beautiful fantasy castle, a giant sized bunny, a clown complete with tricks galore and loads more. A sports area will hold skills workshops by the FAI and the GAA (expect some familiar Waterford hurling faces); along with an old-school sports day which is open to all ages - take part in sack races, wheelbarrow races, egg and spoon and three legged races. There are lots of rosettes to be won and fun to be had! A food area will offer various nibbles and a community banquet table. Get ready for HOOPLA 2013!
