The festival centres on the premise of 'a festival for everyone' with music to suit all tastes and in a variety of venues. It's great music taking place in a big hearted village.
Harvest Moon offers free admission to all music acts taking place in the pubs and other premises around the village with the exception of the Marquee area which will have a number of ticketed events taking place over the weekend. There is no single music theme - the festival aims to include as varied a mix of genres as possible – this year will see folk, traditional, reggae, opera, electronica, bluegrass/rockabilly, country and DJ sets.
The weekend will also boast food and craft stalls with talks, street entertainment, a Sunday morning market with live music, and of course, all that is unique and wonderful about Schull.
Schull itself is an exceptionally beautiful picturesque sea side village surrounded by equally beautiful countryside. It is a major holiday destination and boasts a highly active and eclectically mixed local community giving the village an unusual cosmopolitan atmosphere.
