For the past few years, the crew at Happenings have spent their summers transforming Ireland's public parks into outdoor cinemas. This weekend marks their 2017 return, and they have a great line-up of films to mark the occasion.

Tomorrow evening, in Dublin's Merrion Square, they'll be showing 80s classic Back to the Future but get there early as Michael Fassbender's favourite cover band Spring Break will be on hand to bang out the 80s tunes before the main event (and may even join in during it too).

Happenings then move to Cork on Saturday where they're screening Lethal Weapon to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary. Finally on June 1st, they'll be at the Cat Laughs Festival in St. Kieran's College, Kilkenny with the Coen Brothers' cult classic The Big Lebowski.

The screenings will continue throughout the summer, with more venues and films to be announced. Happenings is taking place in association with 7Up so everyone attending will get a complimentary 7Up or 7Up free (nice), while food and other refreshments will be available at all venues.
