A stripped back production of a new play by Colin Murphy, directed by Conall Morrison.

A dramatisation based on documentary sources about the bank guarantee. On the night of September 29, 2008, the Taoiseach and Minister for Finance decided to guarantee Ireland’s banks – to the tune of €440 billion. Guaranteed! tells the story of that night, and how they got there. Written by journalist and documentary-maker Colin Murphy, and based on official documents and off-the-record interviews, Guaranteed! reconstructs Ireland’s banking boom and bust – as it was seen from inside the corridors of power. An ensemble of actors plays a myriad of ministers, bankers and bureaucrats as they wrestle with the unfolding crisis. You will come away informed, enraged and perhaps a little heart-broken. We have stripped back our assets for a recession-friendly, bare-bones presentation where we will hold on to our scripts, while you can hold on to your wallets.
