Lemonstreet Gallery is delighted to host a group exhibition featuring the work of 13 selected artists from DIT, IADT and NCAD. These colleges have a tradition of producing some of the finest young artists in the country and this exhibition represents a unique opportunity to see some of the finest young artistic talent in the country show their work in one space. Lemonstreet Gallery first opened its doors on 22nd March 2000 in its original premises in Lemon Street just off Grafton Street in the centre of Dublin, specialising in graphics. In October 2004 Lemonstreet moved to a larger location on City Quay near the new Sean O'Casey footbridge over the Liffey and on the edge of Dublin's Docklands. Since the move the to focus has been on monthly shows, mainly with painters. The sizeable print portfolio has been retained. The award-winning building has provided Lemonstreet with a riverside location with a spectacular curved glass floor-to-ceiling frontage. The premises - with excellent light and space - has yielded an excellent room in which to exhibit artwork. This exhibition runs from 15th July to 15th August and will be opened by Dr. Martin Mansergh, TD Minister for the State at the Dept. Of Finance and the Dept. Of Arts and Tourisn with special responsibility for the Arts.
