It's not long since the tents were rolled up from the Vodafone Comedy Festival in Iveagh Gardens but now it's heading to the west of the country where the Vodafone Comedy Carnival will take place from October 24th to 30th.

The full lineup has been revealed today and it promises to be a cracker. Acts include Dara Ó Briain, Kevin Bridges, Tommy Tiernan, Jon Richardson, Reginald D Hunter, Rich Hall, Foil Arms & Hog, David O’Doherty, Rubberbandits, Jimeoin, Katy Brand and Ardal O’Hanlon.

The week-long festival will feature 75 shows and over 100 acts and to celebrate the launch, the Carnival are taking over The AL Porter Show on Today FM all this week, live from the Edinburgh Fringe. Al, who will also be performing in Galway, will be chatting to comedians from the stellar line up, bringing you exclusive news on this years festival and giving away a fantastic trip to the Carnival every day.

The 2017 Vodafone Comedy Carnival runs as part of Vodafone’s Centre Stage programme, and will see the return of the iconic Spiegeltent to Eyre Square for the third year, accompanied by the now legendary BlundaBus.

Other acts playing the festival include Neil Delamare, David McSavage, Barry Murphy, Katherine Lynch, PJ Gallagher, Andrew Maxwell, Dermot and Dave, Tom Stade, Francesca Martinez and Colin Murphy.

Festival Director Kevin Healy said, "We’ve worked hard to deliver a top-notch comedy programme with something for everyone. We would especially like to thank Galway City Council for allowing us to build our festival hub in Eyre Square. My hope is that anyone making their first trip to Galway, be they comedy fans or performers, get to experience some of the magic that residents and regular visitors feel so intensely. I’d also like to express my gratitude to our main sponsors Vodafone whose outstanding commitment to live comedy is remarkable and allows us to put on such a great festival."
