Edwina Forkin set up Zanzibar Films in 2002 where she has created a strong, strategic, dynamic company. Edwina's debut Feature HEADRUSH (2003) has four international awards to its credit. Her latest feature SUGAR was premiered in Sundance 2005 and screened in competition at Edinburgh and Thessaloniki film festivals.SWANSONG – the story of Occi Byrne (2010) six IFTA nominations -Winner of Best Actor - IFTA 2011. Also recently completed 2 GRAVES – director Yvonne McDevitt, (2011) She is also involved as co-producer on feature films DOT.COM (2006) and JOHNNY WAS (2005) and associate producer on SOUL BOY (2009) and on recent short film NOWHERE IN PARTICULAR (2012) her feature length documentaries are AIDAN WALSH - MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE (2002) and BREAKING BOUNDARIES – the Irish Cricket team’s world cup (2008) -Shimmy Marcus’s Documentary GOOD CAKE BAD CAKE (2011) and Patrick Jolley’s Documentary - A DOOR A JAR (2011)Currently in post- production on the TV series JACK TAYLOR – ‘PRIEST and THE SORROWS’ as well as in pre-production on the next TV series of JACK TAYLOR – ‘TINKERS’. She is working on numerous features 66 DEGREES NORTH - director Oskar Jonasson due for production early 2013 while also co-producing The Treehouse – 2012.
