A rebirth of Ireland's oldest festival, Festival of the Fires is a Bealtaine celebration of Irish culture, art, heritage, ceremony and sport which has been held at the historic Hill of Uisneach every May for over 1,400 years.

An iconic national event which culminates with an incredible night time parade and fire ceremony, it ignites the summer Gathering season in spectacular fashion. The festival site at the exact centre of Ireland is unlike any other, over 400 acres of rolling hillside with ancient ruins, lakeside camping and amazing scenery, 21 counties are visible from the summit. Add to that 8 musical stages, theatre and spoken word stages, genealogy and heritage areas, food and drink villages, amazing outdoor art, walking tours, healing village, children and family areas, traditional sports arena, arts and crafts areas, Medieval village, cinema, workshops, ceremonial village, lakeside arena and much more.

The festival will also feature its now traditional mix of pageantry and illumination, with its signature spectacular night time fire parade to be expanded greatly for 2013. Imagine a night time St. Patrick's parade in which everyone can play a part! There is no festival like it in Ireland today, it's a modern pilgrimage to the ancient heart of Ireland to ignite the soul. The biggest names in Irish music perform every year, with One Directions Niall Horan just one of many to have played.
