Dublin Festival season is almost upon so we’ve decided to highlight some of our favourite festival taking place in Ireland’s capital this September / October. Check 'em out below:

Mountains to Sea dlf Book Festival: 3rd  8th September 2013
Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival takes place from the 3rd to 8th of September in various venues throughout Dún Laoghaire. The Festival hosts acclaimed writers from all over the world alongside the very best of Irish literary talent reading from their work. Throughout this six day celebration of the written world there will be over 70 events featuring writers of many different genres in a variety of venues throughout Dún Laoghaire. Read more.

Dublin Fashion Festival: 5th - 8th September 2013
Dublin Fashion Festival is an annual shopping event which this year takes place from 5th - 8th September. Now in it's 4th year there will be over 250 retailers, restaurants, bars and hotels taking part including: Brown Thomas & BT2, Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, Powerscourt Centre, Arnotts, Clery's, Illac Shopping Centre (including Debenhams), Jervis Shopping Centre and Penneys. Arthur's Day: 26th September 2013
32 Counties, 500+ Free Music Events, 1,000+ Music Acts, Creative Showcase Events. At precisely 17:59 Irish-time on Thursday 26th September, a toast will commence in cities across the world as glasses, mostly pint-sized, are raised to the memory of Arthur Guinness, the man who founded the Dublin brewery back in 1759. Dublin theatre Festival: 26th September - 13th October 2013
Dublin Theatre Festival has been a major cultural and civic event in the city's calendar since 1957. The Festival is a forum for participation, celebration and togetherness. Dublin is a wonderful place, rich in songs and stories, in culture and history. It is this wealth that continues to inspire our artists and to encourage our citizens. Read more.

Dublin Open House Festival: 4th - 6th October 2013
Open House Dublin is the biggest celebration of architecture in Ireland presented by the Irish Architecture Foundation. Open House Dublin 2013 will take place from 4 to 6 October 2013. Over one weekend, almost 100 buildings of all types and periods will open up their doors to allow citizens and visitors to explore the architecture of their city, with special tours by hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts, along with other associated events, completely for free.
