Kilkenny International Gospel Choir Festival: 13th - 16th June 2013
In 2012 the Kilkenny Gospel Choir hosted their very first International Gospel Choir Festival. 2013 promises to be even better with gospel choirs from all over the world meeting in Kilkenny City to participate in workshops with renowned gospel choir directors and to participate in public performances throughout the county. Doolin Folk Festival: 14th - 16th June 2013
Details of Ireland's newest folk music festival have been announced in County Clare, Luka Bloom, Martin Hayes, Donal Lunny, John Spillane, Steve Cooney and Hermitage Green are amongst the acts lined up to perform during the inaugural Doolin Folk Festival on June 14th to 16th 2013. Sponsored by Smithwick's Pale Ale the three-day festival will take place on the grounds ofHotel Doolin, less than a mile from the site of the famous Lisdoonvarna Festival of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Fastnet Maritime and Folk Fest: 14th - 16th June 2013
Ballydehob's Fastnet Maritime and Folk Fest focuses on sea songs and shanties with traditional music and dance from Ireland and abroad. The idea behind the festival is to celebrate and promote the village's old tradition of sandboating. Read more.
