Felix Cartal hails from Vancouver. While not the most usual place for a dynamic mastermind of electronic music,Cartal is signed to D.j. ubermensch Steve Aoki’s prestigous Dim Mak label,home also to Bloody Beetroots and Toxic Avenger. His meteoric rise within the world of dance music began with acts such as Mstrkrft and Felix Da Housecat consistently incorporating Felix’s music into their performances and seeking him out as their opening act. Once known solely for his aggressive and hard hitting productions and dj performances, his debut album, released next month sees him evolve musically and utilze a greater blend of musical genres and melodies. Signed to Dim Mak records, it's set to be one of the most eagerly awaited dance albums of 2010. On Sat 23rd January, Transmission welcomes the return of Felix Cartal to the Button Factory.
