Faces is an exhibition of work by eight outstanding European photographers selected by OPENCities curators to produce images which reflect the openness of their own cities. But how do you photograph openness? This has been the challenge faced by the photographers involved in the project whose task has been to examine their own cities and to attempt to show us the personal stories behind the statistics.
Photographer Veronica Vierin, selected to represent Dublin, has produced images of skilled international immigrant workers in their professional environments.
Faces opens in the old Creation Arcade on Dublin’s Duke Street on 26th April until 5th May, 2011. The use of a pop up as an exhibition space is in keeping with one of the ‘OPENCities’ themes of creative, transitional use of slack city space.
