ExploreLight duo, and father and son fine art photographers Ed and Peter Gordon both received international recognition for their work in this year's Pilsner Urquell International Photo Awards. The 2008 International Photography Awards received over 22,000 submissions from 124 countries across the globe and was judged by an international panel of illustrious judges so naturally it was a great honour to receive these accolades. Peter was awarded third place in the Professional Nature category for a series of three images entitled 'Colorado Autumn' that was shot in October 2007 during a trip to the USA. Peter's entry will be published in the prestigious International Photo Awards book, The Lucies. Ed Gordon also received recognition for his work and was awarded an honourable mention in his Professional Portraiture category. Ed's entry was entitled 'Indian Streets' and showcased a series of candid images taken during a trip to India in 2007. Their next exhibition will take place at the National Art and Craft Fair in the RDS from December 3rd -7th. An exclusive exhibition will then take place in The Loft Gallery in the Powerscourt Centre from December 9th-12th.  Both exhibitions will showcase an eclectic mix of the ExploreLight collection featuring Ed and Peter's Indian and American work as a well as a host of Irish landscapes and nature based abstracts. Peter will then be having a solo show in the Dublin Camera Club Gallery, Camden Street from February 7 until the end of March 2009. The exibition is entitled 'Two Sides of the Atlantic' and will focus on the beauty of the landscape in Ireland and America seeking to highlight diversity in texture but commonality in the beauty of both landscapes.
