Probably made most famous by the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece EVITA has more than 20 major awards to its credit and features one of the most coveted roles in musical theatre. This brand new production of the smash hit show arrives at the Gaiety Theatre for 16 performances only from September 15th to 27th. West End performer Louise Dearman (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease) will be taking on the role of the extraordinary Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine president Juan Peron, who, from young and ambitious beginnings, gained enormous wealth and power during her ultimate rise to sainthood. Joining Louise on stage in the role of Che is Seamus Cullen, popular finalist from the hit BBC TV programme Any Dream Will Do. Featuring some of the most famous and inspiring stage music ever written, EVITA includes the classic songs "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall."
