Dublin's newest club night, Escape launches at The Academy Saturday 2nd August with three rooms of music. The Funky Lounge opens at 10.30pm with Dj Wayne G playing an array of funky house. RED&HED follow at 12 midnight on The Main Stage playing funky house, a twist of filth, a dash of anthems and all those choons that make every hair on the back of your neck stand up. RED&HED, AKA Steven Cooper and Rory Lynam, have been described as Irelands most exciting DJs. The magic between the lads first sparked when they began to DJ as RED&HED in the Temple Theatre when supporting Phats and Small. Since then they have been playing all over the country in the finest Clubs, Venues and Festivals that Ireland has to offer. RED&HEDs mixing style is unique: owning and manipulating the tracks, using effects, samples and loops. And finally, Sean Harley in the Green Room plays RnB, Hip Hop, Urbane Groves & all your Dance Floor Fillers at Candy Soul... Doors open at 10.30pm. Admission is €10.
