Eight years since it's 2004 inception, Electric Picnic has established itself as one of the most creative, colorful and entertaining events on the world festival stage. Set amidst the luscious, rolling lawns of Stradbally, Co.Laois; the stunning 600-acre estate transforms once a year into a never-ending spectacle of rock'n'roll, comedy, art, theatrics and food.
A uniquely Irish extravaganza to say the least, top headliners for the festival will include 80's heroes The Cure, bright-siders The Killers & British indie rockers Elbow. Other leading acts will include ethereal quartet Sigur Ros, Irish legend Christy Moore and electronic emblems Orbital, Hot Chip and the XX. Bombay Bicycle Club, Squarepusher, The Vaccines and Explosions In The Sky will also enchant audiences together with Crystal Castles, The Maccabees, Grandaddy, The Roots, The Horrors, Wild Beasts, Alabama Shakes, Wallis Bird & Bat For Lashes to name a few.
