Following last year's instant sell-out of the Console Christmas Comedy gig at Vicar St. featuring Ed Byrne, Dara O'Briain, Des Bishop, Andrew Maxwell, Colin Murphy and other Irish comedy greats, Vicar St. has confirmed the show will return on December 6th 2010. Ed Byrne will once again take up the role of hilarious MC on the night and stars already confirmed include Jarleth Regan, Karl Spain, Colin Murphy, Barry Murphy, Dead Cat Bounce and David O'Doherty. Once again all proceeds go directly to Console in aid of the suicide bereaved. Console is expecting a sell-out gig once again.CEO Console Paul Kelly said, "Last year, the show sold out in just 48 hours. It was a tremendous gig – Vicar St. was literally rocking with laughter – and considering we had all of the biggest stars of comedy in one room, that’s no big surprise! This year is set to be absolutely superb once again." Tickets are priced at just €28, not bad value for a line up like that.
