Festival season is officially upon us and not matter what part of Ireland you hail from there’s definitely something to get excited about in this year’s bunch. There’s no end to the Easter festival fun this March, so take your pick, free up your schedule and get yourself to a festival this month.

Food Glorious Food

Only in its second year, the Galway Food Festival has already made a name for itself as one of the most exciting food festivals of the year. With five full days of mouth watering food and family friendly events, it’s the perfect excuse to visit Galway this Easter Weekend. Just make sure you keep room for seconds.

Keep Active

If you’re looking for a reason to get out and enjoy Ireland’s fresh open air, then here’s two: Westport’s Easter Bank Holiday Walking & Biking Festivaland the North Leitrim Glens Walking Festival. Both offer varied programmes and you’re guaranteed some gorgeous scenery along the way.

Fun for all the family

We’ll try to keep the egg puns to a minimum on this on, but you can’t blame us for getting a bit egg-cited. Kids all around Ireland will be delighted to know that there are a basket load of egg hunts taking place around the country this Easter. From Wexford’s Big Easter Egg Hunt to Craggaunowen’s family fun day (featuring an egg-stra special visit from the Easter Bunny) there’s plenty to keep families entertained this March.
