The East Kerry Roots Festival will be held during the last weekend in July. It will be a celebration of the unique culture and heritage in the greater Sliabh Luachra area. People from around the world, who have an ancestral link to East Kerry, are encouraged to come back home and enjoy the activities and events that will be organised, during the festival, in Castleisland and the surrounding parishes.
As part of The Gathering 2013 East Kerry Roots will also be hosting the Brosnan Clan gathering during the festival, which will feature a number of activities for visitors and locals alike.
