Originally expected to take place at the beautiful surrounds of Dysart Castle, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, the inaugural Dysart Festival has been forced into a change of venue due to unforeseen circumstances. The festival will, however, go ahead on August 9th and 10th at a new location in the heart of Kilkenny City - The Kilford Arms Hotel and its grounds on John Street. The event will take place across three areas of the hotel including Club 51, the largest nightclub in Kilkenny, O'Faolains bar with its 16th Century Church interior, and the main stage outdoors in the grounds of the hotel. Headline acts no longer performing at the festival are Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and Katherine Jenkins. Despite this news, there will still be a whole lot to see and do at the festival, including the exclusive pairing of Detroit DJs Stacey Pullen and Kenny Larkin who will perform a mammoth five hour set together for the first time in Ireland, not to mention the headline acts already announced such as folk guitar legend John Martyn, Blind Boys of Alabama and several of the hottest acts on the Irish music scene right now including Republic of Loose, Gemma Hayes, Juliet Turner and Fred. Tickets are now available from +353 56 77 95955 or the festival website www.dysartfestival.com.  See festival website for updated ticket prices and details of refunds.
