Dublin Theatre Festival is an18-day celebration of the best of Irish and international theatre.

Aside from hundreds of main-stage productions, it presents a multitude of special events which include master classes from the world's top practitioners, artist development programmes, film screenings, symposiums, schools workshops and panel discussions.

Highlights from this year's programme include: The Hanging Gardens - a brand new play from Frank McGuinness, which will receive a world premiere in The Abbey Theatre; The Critic from Rough Magic, which fuses 18th Century characters with modern techniques; The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of The Rape of Lucrece starring Irish singer Camille O'Sullivan; and Circa a sexy new cocktail of circus and burlesque from the internationally renowned Wunderkammer.
