Flash mob opera, contortionists and one JCB Digger are among those tearing up the city this September as part of the 14th annual Dublin Fringe Festival hits the city this September. Incorporating the biggest and strongest music line up in Fringe history, rediscovering the city by playing hide and seek, 'pervasive gaming' and a robot's talent show are among the playful pearls at this year's Fringe Festival which runs from 6th - 21st September. This annually anticipated, jam-packed line-up of contemporary performing arts and music includes the much-loved Spiegeltent, a gorgeous tent of mirrors, which this year will be located in the intimate and magical Iveagh Gardens along with a brand new venue and younger sister tent, The Bosco Tent. With contortionists and sexy acrobats back from the 2007 sell out show La Clique, pimped-up artworks from Will St Leger, an all dancing, all gay son and mother cooking up a storm buffet a la mode, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, cats morphing into actors, sex, money, power, reputation, Ikea goes to Hollywood all added to the mix and you’ve got the most acutely creative period in Dublin’s event calendar. For 16 days and nights the Fringe Festival offers, live gigs and performances with 130 companies (110 shows) spanning theatre, dance, music, live and visual arts in 42 venues across Dublin, the Fringe is a full-on, immersive arts experience that will leave you yearning for more and more.
