The Dublin Burlesque Festival 2011 was the first annual Burlesque Festival in Ireland. Burlesque came to Ireland in 2004 and has rapidly increased in popularity, with troupes performing regularly all over Ireland. The Dublin Burlesque Festival brings these amazing 7 years of Burlesque and Cabaret in Ireland together, along with Ireland’s top performers, musicians, dancers and singers.
This Festival is an important landmark in the History of the Irish Cultural Scene. Stirring together the worlds of dance, theatre, music, art, fashion and cinema.
We hope to expand the World of Burlesque and Cabaret beyond the walls of being niche and reach out to anyone with a passion for the arts and a bit of the dramatic.
