As part of The Gathering celebrations this year, The Doonbeg International Jazz Festival is delighted to welcome old friends and new to enjoy a Jazz packed weekend of fun in Doonbeg. With a full programme of performances and a children’s musical fun day, there is something to suit everyone. This year the festival will feature excellent bands from Germany (Jazzonanz) and The Netherlands (NLX) as well as some of Ireland's finest; Ace Minsky, The Downtown Jazz Band, Jazztalk, Zigani, Skazz, Jazzlite and The Corner Quartet.
Following the success of last year, The Doonbeg International Jazz Festival 2013 will again be holding a free Musical Fun Day for Children on Saturday 1st June. This is a lovely opportunity for children to explore making music, trying out new instruments and having fun. Run by Ruti Lachs the workshop is themed Stomping in the Woods. There will be two sessions for different age groups and the workshops will take place in the Doonbeg Hall.
