Lyla is an oil painter, photographer, illustrator, and sculptor. She’s seventeen, and dreams of American runaways and a life of art. She has just arrived in the gallery- she sees in Dónal is an opportunity to realise her dreams.

In a style informed by Enda Walsh and Loren Eiseley, we’re brought into Lyla’s scattered mind and David’s fractured life, a world cut through by Dónal’s disaffected presence. As stories are told, we watch moments of clarity  and quiet sincerity as Lyla begins to understand her naivety and David assumes his own autonomy.
