Running from April 5 - 16, its the hit musical that's been lighting up stages all across the world.

Are you ready to head back 100 years into the past, to the era that will forever be known as the roaring twenties? Then allow us to introduce you to the wonders of 'Chicago' at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin.

This April, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy-award winning musical will take over the theatre for two weeks only. Running from April 5 - 16, this is your chance to experience the story of Roxie Hart up close and personal like never before.

Originally opening as a Broadway musical during the mid-70s, the Bob Fosse creation sees our lead star get muddled up in her dark nature, murdering her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her.

Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today’s tabloids.

The iconic Liza Minnelli was a Roxie hart replacement during the production's original run on Broadway, while Renée Zellweger famously played the character in the multi-award-winning 2002 theatrical release.

Created by the musical theatre talents of John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, 'Chicago' at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre promises to deliver its trademark "sexy, sassy score", with all the songs you know and love such as 'Razzle Dazzle' and 'All That Jazz'.

A limited number of tickets are available for 'Chicago' through Ticketmaster.ie. Prices start at €25.00 plus booking fee.
