The Celtic Challenge 2013 is hosted by the Southern Association of Camera Clubs in conjunction with the Irish Photographic Federation. On Friday, explore the beauty of West Cork by spending the day taking in the tranquillity of Gougane Barra followed by a visit to Garnish Island, a gorgeous hidden garden island. In the evening, the arrival reception at Clarion Hotel takes place.
On Saturday morning visit the pretty seaside heritage town of Cobh in East Cork and take a trip to Spike Island (Ireland's version of Alcatraz!). In the afternoon the judging and exhibition of panels from all competitors takes place. In the evening enjoy the Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Clarion Hotel, which includes talk by noted Irish photographer Michael O'Sullivan FIPF FRPS and a traditional Irish music session.
Finally, to bring the weekend to a close, there will be a walking tour of Cork City on Sunday.
