The Cavan Theatre Festival will take place from 17th to 20th July 2014. Officially launched at the Abbey Theatre, during the celebrations of World Theatre Day on 27th March, it will provide a new and ambitious platform for theatre artists both local and national to perform and network.
Cavan Theatre Festival (CTF) is an artist-led, curated event with a focus on encouraging theatre makers to get inspired together with our audience.
Highlights Include:
Walking the Road by Dermot Bolger to be performed by a professional cast and directed by Aaron Monaghan. The play marks the 90th anniversary of the 3rd Battle of Ypres in 1917.
Fishamble - The New Play Company presents both Silent and Forgotten by Pat Kinevane.
Seamus O'Rourke, Leitrim playwright and actor. His newest play Padraig Potts' Guide to Walking.
Also featuring, The Devious Theatre Company, Polish Theatre Ireland, Moogles Theatre Company, Sally O'Dowd - Performance Artist and Pat McCabe (The Butcher Boy) and Padraic McIntyre (The Night Joe Dolan's Car Broke Down) in conversation.
