Brought to you by: Trinity College Dublin’s European Researchers’ Night

Even if you're stuck inside at the moment, there's still plenty of online events taking place across Ireland for you to take part in.

Trinity College Dublin's 'START 2020' Event runs November 18th to November 29th and has a host of activities, events, and talks that you can attend - all of them from the comfort of your own home, and all of them completely free.

In fact, one such event that caught our eye is a 'Back To The Future'-themed escape room called 'Back For The Future: Escape The Climate Crisis', which runs on November 27th, 28th and 29th. The virtual escape room will see you trapped in the year 2050 after Earth is devastated by the climate crisis, with no other choice but to travel back to our time to try and right history's wrongs.

There's also a podcast series running throughout the programme called 'What Do You Want To Know?', that answers all sorts of everyday questions posed to researchers. For example, what exactly is 5G? Or how does sign language work? Or where do the stars go during the daytime?

If that wasn't enough, there's the Tent of Bad Science, which sees different talks on everything from combating misinformation and the dreaded fake news, to the science of storytelling and how it relates to neuroscience, art, and psychology.

You can get all information on all these topics, plus times, details, and how to register for all these free events by visiting Trinity Research right here.
