Bray Jazz Festival returns for its 14th year this May Bank Holiday weekend (3rd - 5th May), with a programme that will feature top names in contemporary jazz from Europe and further afield.

This year's programme will welcome the great New York based Brazilian pianist and singer Eliane Eliasto the festival (Sun 5th), and will host headline concerts featuring a number of leading figures in European jazz.

The programme kicks-off on Friday night, 3rd May, with a double-bill from Europe that includes the dazzling French trumpeter Méderic Collignon's, Le Jus De Bosce and Swiss-based guitarist Christy Doran's 'New Bag', while that enduring winning-formula of ambient Norwegian jazz will take centre-stage on Saturday (4th May), when acclaimed bassist Mats Eilersen's Skydive headline.

Elsewhere, Bray Jazz will break new ground when they stage a day-long open air festival of Balkan music featuring musicians from Serbia, Russia, Romania, Turkey, Italy and the UK. There will also be early evening recitals featuring musicians from Sweden and Scotland; and a showcase for the best in Irish jazzz to round out one of the most exciting international programmes in the festival’s 14 years history.
