The Bottlenote Festival, now in its fourth year, pairs together some of Ireland's leading improvising musicians with their European counterparts for an intensive week of new music. Participants come together for a series of workshops and rehearsals the week prior to the concerts, devising new music specifically for the festival, which then culminates in three nights of brand new live performance.

Festival artists include: Roy Carroll (GER), DJackulate, Shane Latimer, Seán Mac Erlaine, Shane O'Donovan, Justin Carroll, Sarah Buechi (SW), Darragh O'Kelly, Ed Rosenberg III (USA) & Christian Skjodt (DEN).

The festival programme features performances from Justin Carroll's new project Free Fall, "edgy electric jazz hipsters" OKO, and Seán Mac Erlaine's solo project alongside new music devised specifically for the festival. Audiences can expect to experience innovative music and improvised work, live electronics meeting acoustic instruments and everything from large ensembles to solo performances.

The 2012 Festival will take place in Block T again this year, from the 12th - 17th November.
