Bloodknot tells the story of two half brothers trapped in the madness of South Africa’s apartheid. Morris is light-skinned enough to pass for white, unlike Zach who is unmistakably black. Living together in a tumbledown shack, after years of estrangement and betrayal, they wrestle with the terms of their fate and dreams — and long-simmering tensions explode over a woman.
Bloodknot holds a mirror up to the soul-searing effects of racism while exploring the inextricable bond between brothers, and by extension, all humanity.
