Following his sold out week long Olympia Theatre run in June, Bill Bailey has announced he will return to Ireland with a brand new show. Bill Bailey’s Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra featuring The RTE Concert Orchestra conducted by Anne Dudley from ‘The Art of Noise’ will perform on Saturday 21st November at The O2 Dublin and Sunday 22nd November at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast. Following on from last year’s sell out shows at the Royal Albert Hall and the critically acclaimed version on BBC2, Bill Bailey’s surreal comic and musical imagination is let loose once more as he takes this show on the road, performing this time with The RTE Concert Orchestra accompanied by Anne Dudley, one of the UK’s most celebrated composers and arrangers. A classically trained musician, Bill has for many years covered all kinds of music in his comedy and this show takes the form of an irreverent guide to the instruments of the orchestra, plus 70’s cop show music, news themes, Bill’s own songs, and some of Anne’s specially written new works. Hear the trombone’s affection for Cockney music, and find out what bassoon players are secretly obsessed with.
