Beyond the Pale is an exhibition of watercolours and acrylics by Jim Mc Partlin highlights the colour and contrasts of the landscape at home and abroad. Beyond the Pale i.e. moving away from the transparent and sometimes insipid approach as is often associated with watercolour to a more vibrant and emotional approach to the medium. After a career in graphic design and advertising, Jim decided in 2002 to pursue a full time career in painting. He has exhibited watercolours at several venues and galleries in Dublin.
