This 'micro music festival' is now in its 4th year. Located in The New Theatre, it's probably the smallest festival in the world. Why? The theatre capacity is only 66 people.
The New Theatre is located at the rear of the Connolly Book Shop, hence the festival's name.
Over the course of the festival, two main acts will play each night with support acts performing in the bookshop. Over the past four years of the festival and additional one-off events, Beyond the Bookshelf has been host to over 40 acts from Ireland and beyond.
