This July, mingle with leading theatre professionals and local talent at the Cavan Theatre Festival. Running from Thursday 17th - Monday 20th, the Festival's aim is to encourage theatre makers to get inspired with the audience. For this reason alone, it's a must do for all lovers of literature, culture and the stage.

Highlights include; an ambitious performance of Dermot Bolger's Walking The Road - which is being presented as part of the festival's inaugural producing programme; Fishamble - The New Play Company's presentation of two works by Pat Kinevane, Silent and Forgotten and Padraig Pott's Guide to Walking a new work by Seamus O'Rourke.

Other esteemed performers who will be taking to the stage are the Devious Theatre Company, Polish Theatre Ireland, Moogles Theatre Company and Sally O'Dowd - Performance Artist and guests can gain insight into the world of literature with Pat McCabe (The Butcher Boy) and Padraic McIntyre (The Night Joe Dolan's Car Broke Down) in conversation.

While audiences are sure to be kept entertained throughout the four day festival, it will also serve as an opportunity for theatre artists - both local and national - to perform and network.
