The Frosty Salmon Festival will be the ultimate Christmas experience in Ballina. There are plenty of highlights to look forward to, like Moy on Ice, Ballina Mistletoe Market and Santa. 

Moy on Ice - a state of the art ice rink which will be open daily from December 7th until December 31st.

The ice rink which is the largest ever to be located in Ballina will host a range of other unique festive performances and events over the duration of the festival including Santa's Grotto with Santa and his helpful elves making Ballina their Headquarters until December 24th.

Ballina Mistletoe Market is a European style Christmas market which will bring Ballina back to its historic market town origins and will boast a range of local, traditional crafts and artisan food.The markets will take place on the 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd of December.

The festival will culminate in a dramatic send-off of Santa and the Elves on Christmas Eve from Market Square. Santa will be airlifted by helicopter from Ballina to meet his reindeer who are currently grazing on top of Nephin Mor mountain. All children are asked to be in the Market Square for 2pm to wish Santa well on his long day of delivering presents around the world.

The festival also boasts a host of concerts; carol singing, street performances at various venues and late night shopping for those last minute gifts.

The Frosty Salmon Festival is not to be missed and one that every family will want to experience as the highlight of the Christmas calendar.
