Scotland, England and Wales have one and now it’s our turn.
Ireland despite producing more world class comedians than almost anywhere has never had an Irish Comedian of The Year Competition. Until now.

Over 100 comedians have competed in heats & semi finals for a chance to win €2000 and a fabulous once in a lifetime trip to Australia to perform at the Fringe Festivals in Perth and Adelaide. As well as the title of the Irish Comedian of the Year.

The Grand Final is taking place during the Vodafone Comedy Carnival in Galway’s Town Hall on Thursday 27th October when one glorious winner will walk away with a cheque just slightly bigger than their ego and a ticket to Oz.

The comics have given blood, sweat and tears and gotten whittled down to the top ten. The lucky 10 are  Stephen Ryan, Steve Bennett, Aindrias De Staic, Aideen McQueen, Richard Ronaldson, Ryan Cullen, Peter Flanagan, Jim Elliott, Emmanuel Idama & Donal Vaughan.

If you're in Galway and want to check out the best of Irish comedic talent, tickets are still available from www.vodafonecomedycarnival.com
