Gabby Young brings her seven piece band and theatrically energetic show to Dublin. Young’s style combines Balkan brass, jazz and swing in a sound that has been affectionately dubbed ‘Circus Swing’. As famous for her extravagant costumes as for her soulful voice, her flamboyant show has been likened to Florence + The Machine while her classically trained voice is akin to that of Kate Bush or Tori Amos. Her colourful, avant-garde sound with lush orchestration, horns and quiet melodies exudes the best bits of music hall, burlesque, 1920’s flapper music, Nouvelle Vague cinema and torch songs.
