Samuel Beckett's classic absurdist piece Endgame is being brought to the Pearse Centre tonight by the newly-formed Amigos Theatre Company, and runs throughout the week. Often considered one of Beckett's greatest works, the play features four wonderfully weird characters whose lives of habit and routine frames the complex relationships that exist between them. Brilliantly and morbidly funny, the play is sure to be enjoyed by any of Beckett's fans, or fans of the absurd in general.
Amigos roots spawned from David Scott’s Friday night actors Studio, when in late 2012 Marcos Isla and Clide Delaney became scene Partners and quickly realised a mutual love and appreciation for the craft of creating performances in theatre and film. Over the past year they have strengthened this relationship through theatre and film work. Amigos aim to create fluid and vivid productions which they hope will enthral audiences and leave them inspired to talk and question what they have seen. With Endgame, they have picked an exciting piece with which to showcase all that they have to offer.
